I like to take a tailored approach to every student that I teach. I adapt to their ability, learning style and personality to offer an experience that works best for you. My lessons are flexible in length and timing, and I offer other services such as exam paper marking and out of hours support. My teaching is based on the foundation of mindful practice. Not one for notes and rote learning, I like to focus on thorough understanding and testing. I build up concepts incrementally, ensuring that students understand each step of the journey, compared to being overwhelmed by an information dump. I create an environment where a student is free to ask questions, challenge ideas and give honest feedback. A bit about me: I graduated from the Scots College in 2021 with an ATAR of 99.40. I achieved a Band 6 in all subjects, ranking 1st in the year for Chemistry, and very highly for all others. Josh definitely helped me throughout my HSC. He is incredibly clear in his explanations of mathematics and chemistry principles, and would clarify topics when I was struggling. Thanks to Josh I received a band 6 in maths extension 1 and my chemistry mark improved significantly. He is also extremely knowledgeable and is able to work through difficult problems while explaining the answer and steps. I strongly recommend him as a tutor.
