Hello there! I sincerely appreciate your precious time in visiting my profile. 😊 Little bit about myself first: I am a 2nd year Doctor of Medicine (MD) student at the University of Melbourne. I worked as a tutor in the past four years to assist the students in achieving the best of their abilities. I attained raw study scores of 50 in Further Maths, 49 in English EAL, 49 in Psychology, 48 in Chemistry, 47 in Biology, 42 in Mathematical Methods and 40 in Specialist Maths. I achieved an outstanding ATAR of 99.90 through VCE (Dux of The Geelong College in 2017). After lots of formal tutoring experiences (10+ students every week) and interactions with many teachers, I truly understand what defines a great tutor and the responsibilities as a tutor to motivate the students in achieving. It is the importance of connecting with the students and caring for their needs that inspire me to provide the best tutoring experiences. Back in the high school days, I’ve had invaluable experiences through informal tutoring with my high school friends on a weekly basis, which they find extremely helpful and inspirational as I not only assist them with various subjects, but also provide confidence in their studies. I was also honoured to be a house prefect, culture prefect and the badminton captain of the school which provided enriching experience on organization and leadership. My goal is to spark the passion within the students and guide them towards success. Tutoring had been an absolutely amazing experience for me. I’ve worked with more than 40 students in the past 4 years and I wholeheartedly enjoyed every single moment with them. Their different strengths and weaknesses constantly inspired me to discover how they learn best, and to customize my lessons accordingly. Most students improved an average of 15% on their results and the best improvement was from <50% to straight A’s around 90% in chemistry. All my year 11 students are super excited in continuing with me in their final year of high school which I found to be a huge achievement. I am currently tutoring Chemistry U1-U4 as my main subject. I can also provide some degree of help with Biology, Psychology, and Mathematical Methods.
