About
99.95 ATAR | USyd Doctor of Medicine MD2 | Chemistry Specialist + Degree (BSc | HD WAM) | Sydney Grammar School 2021 | Limited Availabilities Now
Hi there! I'm Albert, and I'm a Doctor of Medicine (MD) student at the University of Sydney in my fifth year of university studies, and my second of the MD program, being part of the Double Degree Medicine Program at USyd. In fact, I've already graduated with a Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Chemistry and Ancient Greek. So, not only do I have plenty of experience in helping students out, but I also have a wealth of chemistry expertise (and I like it)!
Now, while awards, achievements and accolades are certainly far from the most important thing, I still think it best to frame my academic background through that lens of accomplishment, so that you can get some idea of how much I enjoy learning, and of the kind of expertise you'll get with me. (Ultimately though, it's not about me; and my primary goal is to help you truly understand the underlying concepts involved!)
So, starting with high school -- I graduated from Sydney Grammar School in 2021 with a 99.95 ATAR, holding the 1984 Old Sydneians' Scholarship. Beyond just that too, I was one of 30 students across the whole of Australia invited to the Australian Chemistry Olympiad Summer School, where I received a bronze medal in the 2021 Australian Chemistry Olympiad Final Selection Exams. I also received a High Distinction in both the Chemistry and the Physics Olympiad Exams in 2020. I was in the 99th percentile for the UCAT in 2021. In the HSC, I was an All-Rounder, well in the top band in each of the 13 units that I took in Year 12. I came 3rd in NSW for Classical Greek Continuers and 4th for Classical Greek Extension. At Sydney Grammar School, I was ranked equal 1st internally for chemistry (*the only internal rank relevant right now, as I'm currently only accepting chemistry students).
At the University of Sydney, I graduated with my Bachelor's, double majoring in Chemistry and Ancient Greek, while sustaining a comfortable High Distinction Weighted Average Mark (WAM), and was fortunate enough to have been honoured with multiple awards from the University. I held the Chancellor's Award scholarship for my entire undergraduate degree, and received the University of Sydney Academic Merit Prize in 2023. From the Faculty of Arts, I received the W J Woodhouse Memorial Prize for (Ancient) Greek (and its medal) in 2023; and from the Faculty of Science, I was awarded a place on the Dean's List of Excellence in Academic Performance in all three years.
With that all out of the way, time for some details. Please know that, right now, I am only taking more students for chemistry right now, and my schedule only allows me to have our lessons online. However, if you would really like lessons in-person, we can try to arrange that, but unfortunately I cannot guarantee anything.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions at all -- I look forward to hearing from you!
