Experience: Over the past three years, I have privately tutored over 40 high school students between year 7-12 from schools including Sydney Grammar, Kambala, North Sydney Girls, Sydney Boys, Scots, Ascham, Reddam and more. Further, I have worked as a freelancer at 3 different tutoring companies over the past three years. Overall, I have completed in excess of 750 hours of tutoring and continue to improve with every hour.
Aim of Tutoring: Put simply, the aim of my tutoring is to maximise marks, especially for Year 11 and 12 students. My individual tutoring methods provide students with a platform from which they can ask questions 24/7 and gain a deeper comprehensive understanding of their subjects.
Additionally, I will go through the syllabus in absolute detail with my students whilst providing them notes and run them through extensive 20/20 essay plans. Moreover, having handed in a multitude of short answer sections and essays to my teachers in my senior years, I have gained a great understanding of HSC marking conventions and standards and thus, provide my students with thorough feedback on all their work.
Most importantly, I know how stressful the senior years of high school can be with increasing workloads and extra curricular commitments. Whilst navigating my HSC, I learnt that the most crucial aspect of achieving excellent results in school and exams is not spending relentless hours reading over textbooks but instead, gaining an understanding of the most efficient and practical study techniques and strategies that purely maximise marks. It is this understanding that I wish to pass on to all of my students.
***Past Year 12 Student Feedback***
North Sydney Girls English Student's Mother: "XXXX is an all-rounder achiever! She got 93 for her English Adv. Thank you so much for your help in the last two years and I am very much appreciative of everything you have done for my daughter. Thank you.'
Geography Student: "I finished with a 94/100 for Geography an an ATAR of 99.45. I'm very happy with that considering the exam did not go as planned. Once again, thank you so much for all of your help. All you knowledge and exam tips really prepared me for adapting to curveball questions and I could not have achieved that mark without you."
English Student: "Thank you so much for taking me on board to tutor and for helping my mark improve by 25 marks between trials and the HSC exam"
