I'm Samantha - I graduated from James Ruse in 2021 with a 99.85 ATAR, achieving a State Rank in English Advanced (98/100) and top marks in English Ext 1 and 2. Lessons combine explanation, worked examples, guided practice, and detailed feedback so that you understand both what to improve and how to do it. Summer holiday lessons The summer holidays are an opportunity to start Year 11 or 12 with a clear plan, consolidate your understanding of your prescribed texts, and develop your essay-writing skills before assessment pressure builds. I offer summer intensive lessons for students who want to: 📘 Build a strong foundation in critical analysis and essay writing. 📘 Get ahead with their prescribed texts and develop their own interpretations. 📘 Review previous essays and establish a targeted improvement plan. 📘 Prepare for upcoming assessments with practice questions and individual feedback. Ongoing lessons are available throughout the school year, with sessions tailored to your school's assessment schedule and the areas where you need the most support. One-off essay consultations are also available if you would like detailed feedback on a draft before an assessment or examination. Experience and results I have over five years of tutoring experience and have worked with students from leading schools across Sydney, including James Ruse, North Sydney Boys, North Sydney Girls, Normanhurst Boys, Sydney Boys, Knox, The King's School, and Meriden. My students have achieved Band 6 results in HSC English and have gone on to pursue degrees in Law, Medicine, and other competitive health, science, and engineering fields.
