LATIN / MATHS / SCIENCE TUTORING Hi! I am a second year university student. I generally tutor subjects related to the physical sciences, and Latin. MATHS / SCIENCE I scored 40+ for these VCE subjects and am happy to tutor: - Maths Methods - Specialist Maths - Chemistry - Physics Currently I am studying physics at university. I am also happy to tutor K-10 maths and science! LATIN I can tutor Latin from total beginner to the start of literary analysis, i.e. Primary-Y10. I have experience with the Oxford Latin Course and the VSL Distance Ed material, and am able to adapt to other courses if needed. I'm a total linguistics nerd so I have a thorough understanding of Latin grammar and can clarify any points you like! OLYMPIADS / COMPETITIONS I am happy to tutor Chemistry and Earth Science Olympiad material. I have attended both Summer Schools, and studied both of these subjects at university. I have competed in these competitions myself throughout the years and would like to pass those skills onto you :) ABOUT LESSONS: Lessons are online (through Zoom) or at Box Hill Library. Each lesson is tailored to the student. I like to focus on understanding of concepts in my lessons, as well as developing maths/science fluency. I believe a strong foundation is the key to success later, and aim to build that foundation first. I can provide you with handouts (with space to write notes) prior to lessons and can send you completed handouts afterwards. I write all my own handouts, and aim to make them as simple as possible. I can also teach directly from textbooks if you prefer. PRICING: $50/hr for VCE level Sciences/Maths $45/hr for Year 7-10 Sciences/Maths $40/hr for primary school level Sciences/Maths $45/hr for all Latin Olympiad lesson prices available upon request.
