About
I am a qualified secondary teacher with 8 years primary and secondary school teaching, and 15 years online and in-person tutoring experience.
I am professional yet friendly, and will help you achieve your goals as quickly as you can.
My strengths:
I make your practice the focus of the lesson; I explain simply and don't take over the lesson with my talking; I focus on the areas that will help you improve most quickly.
If you don't know where to start, that's fine too. I will quickly assess your language abilities and create lessons to suit you level and needs right now.
For Japanese learners: I'm a qualified teacher, am part of a Japanese teachers group of Australia, and LOVE Japanese. I lived in Japan for 3 years and speak to language exchange partners every week via ZOOM. I speak to my son 2 days a week in Japanese. I love Japanese tv shows and music. I'm the perfect person to practise your speaking with, and practise your grammar so it comes naturally and is not such hard work!
For EAL/ESL learners: I have taught new migrants for 15 years 1-on-1 and in public secondary schools as an EAL teacher.
I can help you with:
-test preparation; conversation; grammar; essay writing; listening and speaking skills; and any specific goals you have.
