I am a graduate from JMC Academy with a Bachelor Degree in Acting.
I am a Drama and Acting tutor who received a Band 6 in my HSC in 2020, and my HSC monologue was nominated for Onstage. I also have 17 years of acting experience with a range of amateur and professional companies including Sport for Jove, Artes Christi, Ryde Youth Theatre, Little Spirits, and the Australian Youth Ensemble. I am experienced and classically trained in contemporary and Shakespearian theatre theory and practice.
My teaching style is adaptive. After years of working with different acting styles, I have experience changing my approach to fit the needs of my students. I am authoritative, and hands on. I want the student to feel comfortable and welcome to explore and enjoy learning about theatre.
I can offer help with Drama performance tasks including individual and group performance, as well as theory work. I can also help the student to build their general skills in acting, performing, and public speaking.

Highly recommended! Elen is an amazing tutor, with her I improved my marks significantly and overcame my stage fright in only a few months. Elen worked with me to create my ip and improve my understanding of writing for drama. It was super easy to talk to her and brainstorm any idea, I definitely felt supported and encouraged in my learning when working with Elen. Her unique insight into stage performance from her own acting experience was very helpful when it came to understanding the actor and audience relationship and how to perform for the audience. She put a lot of my worries of being on stage at ease and encouraged me when I doubted myself and my abilities. She shared many helpful tips for writing essays and answering HSC questions for drama, working through and assessing many practice HSC papers with me, which lead me to finally understand drama theory. She was very generous and flexible with her time and made herself available both face to face and online. I am very happy we found Elen, especially on such short notice (3 months before HSC), and wish I had worked with her a lot earlier.
