About
Hi I am Jamie!
I have recently completed a Bachelors degree in Mathematical Physics with First Class Honours at the University of Melbourne. Where I am currently the president of the Mathematics Society, running the Unimelb maths Olympiads and Integration Bee.
I have been tutoring for four years, teaching years 8-10 Maths and Physics, and VCE 1-4 Physics, General/Further, Methods and Specialist Mathematics.
I also work for the University of Melbourne, teaching at mathAssist, a drop-in space for Mathematics and Statistics students to develop their mathematical understanding. In conjunction to this, I also offer private tutoring for one-on-one sessions for senior secondary school students (VCE or IB) as well as undergraduate mathematics/physics.
Over the past 4 years, I have worked with a diverse range of students with varying backgrounds in a specific learning area. With this in mind, I cater to different student's style as well as making sure their foundations are solid before beginning further advancement to higher level work. I can provide notes/exercise sheets/exams for subjects I tutor and work with you to make sure you understand additional problems.
I do both remote tutoring as well as in person tutoring (possible fee depending on location). Hope to see you soon!
