Hi! My name is Katya and I am passionate about helping students to achieve success and gain confidence in a supportive environment. Over the past four years, I have had the privilege of tutoring more than 30 students, guiding them to achieve their academic goals and succeed in their studies. I recently graduated from High School in 2020 with an ATAR of 96.35 and an average of 84% in English ATAR in Year 12. The ATAR subjects that I took in Year 12 were English, Modern History, Politics and Law, Religion and Life and Mathematics Applications. I graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Arts (Law and Society and Business Law) in 2023 and am currently in my penultimate year of the Juris Doctor at UWA. My experience includes four years of private English tutoring for students from Years 7-12 and two years of English ATAR lecturing at ATAR Notes. Understanding the syllabus in depth is essential to success in any subject, so I structure my lessons around covering all the content a student would need to know to answer any type of question in an assessment setting. Exam skills greatly impact the extent of a student’s success, so I also spend a large amount of time working on refining a student’s writing and analytical exam techniques. My tutoring experience has allowed me to devise an effective teaching method which can also be tailored to the students' individual needs to ensure success.
