I have been tutoring for 3 years since graduating highschool. During this time I have worked with students from year 1 all the way to HSC level. The majority of these lessons were conducted over Zoom so I have lots of experience with online learning. Many of the HSC students, with whom I worked very closely, saw great improvements including multiple top ranks for tests and assignments.

I graduated in 2020, so I have been through and learnt the new syllabus myself. In the HSC I achieved the top atar in my school of 99.35 - my marks were as follows:
Biology: 94 (band 6)
Chemistry: 96 (band 6)
English advanced: 87 (band 5)
Maths Ext1 : 96 (E4)
Maths Ext2 : 90 (E4)
UCAT: 3130 (96th percentile 2021)

Lesson content is tailored to the student's needs. This can mean working in-time with class content to solidify ideas and fill gaps in knowledge, or learning ahead, helping students through 'priming' and maximising time for revision at the end of the year.
I think the best teachers are those that genuinely enjoy the subject themselves. If I don't think the subject is interesting, how can I convince a student to engage for an hour lesson? My own enjoyment of the subject will help set the tone for the lesson.
Lessons are conducted online over zoom and are typically 1hr in length.

I had Paris as my tutor through all of year 12 chemistry and maths. When I started with her, my chemistry grades were within the lowest 50% of my year and by term 3 I received the top mark in my year. She was kind, compassionate and came to every lesson prepared with booklets according to the syllabus. I was never scared to ask questions if I didn’t know something, and she was always amazing at explaining concepts that teachers couldn’t. By the time it got to the actual HSC exams she prepared me in ways I didn’t know were possible. She gave me tips on how to study and prepared me for every type of question in the exam. Paris is honestly the best tutor I’ve ever had, she went above and beyond to help me through the HSC. All good grades I got throughout the year were due to her contribution. I always absolutely loved our sessions, I highly, highly recommend her!!
