Hi, I’m Amelia, an experienced high school tutor specialising in English, essay writing and humanities for students in Years 7-12. I support students to build confidence, improve marks, and develop strong study systems so school feels more manageable and less overwhelming.
I work with a wide range of students, including neurodiverse minds, those who feel unmotivated, disorganised, or unsure where to start, as well as academically inclined students wanting to refine their skills. Through consistent, structured support, students gain confidence and motivation over time.
My lessons are personalised and focus on:
- Essay writing and written expression
- Exam preparation and assessment support
- Time management, organisation, and workload planning
- Deepening understanding of syllabus content
I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD, Autism or learning differences. I provide practical strategies for breaking down tasks, creating routines, and managing workloads in a way that supports both wellbeing and academic success.
I achieved a 97.3 ATAR at Manly Selective High School, with Band 6s in all subjects, including English, English Extension, Ancient History, History Extension, Legal Studies and Drama. I graduated in 2019 and am highly familiar with the current HSC syllabus.
I completed a Bachelor of Arts in 2022 and received an academic scholarship to the Australian National University. My university background allows me to teach skills to a standard that supports students preparing for senior years and higher education.
Tutoring is my full-time profession, and I am committed to building supportive, long-term relationships with my students. I take a holistic approach that prioritises engagement, wellbeing, and sustainable academic growth.
