Hi! I’m Aidan Tharmarajah and I completed the IB Diploma in 2020 with a perfect score of 45/45. I have experience tutoring students in primary, middle and senior school. I understand the stress of having to manage academics, sport and extra-curricular activities. My aim is to help you succeed in your academics whilst maintaining your involvement in other activities! Through tutoring I provide: - Support with not only subject content and IAs, but tried-and-tested exam techniques - Notes, sample work, marked IB exams, IA exemplars - IB past papers, mark schemes and markers report notes - IA proofreading and detailed feedback - Constant access to academic support and advice Having gone through the gruelling process of getting into medicine myself, I understand how difficult it can be to gain entry. In addition to tutoring high school and IB subjects, for those interested in entering medicine, I provide tutoring for the University Clinical Aptitude Test (having received one of the top scores in [99th percentile]) and interview preparation. Aidan has undoubtedly been a central pillar to my academic development. Particularly before my medical interviews, my request for last minute advice was no obstacle for Aidan’s selfless and altruistic charisma. He continuously wants to help others, and has always found the time within his own schedule to accomodate for me. Not to mention the priceless advice that he gives without fail. He made sure I had a sound understanding of what to expect in the interview (i.e., structure, questions, interviewers) while respectfully upholding academic integrity. What I found especially invaluable was the tips that he gave. Assisting me with how to answer questions in a succinct and impactful way, appearing as an engaged friendly interviewee, and preparing mentally for the interview, all enabled me to pass the UNSW medicine interview.

In preparation for my upcoming medical interviews I relied upon Aidan T and his very helpful services! Aidan's lessons were a great opportunity to answer some questions that I had about medical interviews, medical applications and even about the medical course. Our sessions helped me gain a greater understanding of studying medicine in the future and ensured that I was not making any big mistakes in the easily overlooked yet important medical school application process. However, what I found most valuable was practising answering questions and taking time to review key questions that are tough and commonly asked in the medical school interviews. I believe that really made the difference in the end as I felt more comfortable in these unpredictable interview scenarios and felt that my responses were more polished than before. Additionally, I very much appreciate that Aidan took the time to respond in great detail to my medicine-related questions no matter what time of day! With Aidan's help, I was able to obtain an unbonded course offer to study Medicine at UNSW. Aidan was a fantastic tutor! Aidan thoroughly understands the IB Syllabus. Aidan improved my TOK Presentation and Essay by helping me understand the IB mark scheme and how to achieve the very top marks. This allowed me to achieve an A grade in both components. Likewise, Aidan's support allowed me to achieve top marks in English Literature. I would recommend Aidan for all subjects he tutors as he is highly well-equipped and vastly knowledgeable.

Aidan tutored me throughout year 12 when I completed the International Baccalaureate. He specifically helped me with the Theory of knowledge (TOK) essay and helped me achieve an A which I was extremely happy about. I thought his tutoring style was very productive and useful as it is extremely easy to communicate with him and you can tell he cares about your goals. It is worth mentioning that he speaks clearly and concisely about topics you're discussing so that they are easy to understand. Lastly, Aidan is a very intelligent guy and although he did not tutor me in other subjects, I can 100% recommend him as a tutor.
