I'm Leah, a high school teacher located in Newcastle. I have a Masters of Teaching (Secondary) and a Bachelor of Science (Double Majoring in Earth Science and Geography). I have 6 years experience teaching, in addition to 6 years experience as an Environmental Scientist working in the Hunter Region. I have a quiet and welcoming home environment for tutoring, with a lounge area for parents to wait. I can also do home visits and holiday sessions. I am available to tutor students in: - Stage 4/5 Math, - Stage 4/5 Science, - Stage 6 Earth & Environmental Science, and - Stage 6 Geography. I am also available for general tutoring in all subject areas, as well as mentoring, organisation and assistance with understanding assessment requirements. Rates: Stage 4 - $60 for 1hr (in my home) Stage 5/6 - $80 for 1hr (in my home) - $90 for 1hr (home visits) My tutoring services will be based on an initial discussion regarding the student's needs. Tutoring can be structured in various ways e.g. long term/weekly assistance with understanding a broad range of concepts across various subjects, assessment and exam tutoring, numeracy and literacy skills, geography skills, mentoring and organisation.
