Experienced English Tutor || 99.55 ATAR || Hi! I'm Ayishah and I graduated from North Sydney Girls High School in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.55. I'm currently studying Medicine at UNSW and provide high school English tutoring. I have over 5 years of tutoring experience, and specialise in teaching Year 8-12 students. I understand how challenging English is for students, seeming subjective with no 'right' way to write an essay or creative. However, I've developed a formulaic approach to studying English and performing well in assessments. In our lessons, I'll be sharing all my tips and strategies so that you can understand what the markers are looking for and achieve your goals! Each lesson is tailored to my students' strengths and weaknesses. My main goal as a tutor is to equip my students with the skills they need to achieve their academic goals. These skills include essay writing, literary analysis and creative writing. I also provide assistance with assessment tasks. I also provide one-on-one help with Medicine and Dentistry interviews, having received multiple offers. I'm an experienced interview tutor, and my sessions are focused on practising responses to help you succeed with anything they throw at you. As someone who understands the stresses of high school, particularly of Year 11 and 12, I provide my students with mentoring and teach effective study techniques to help maximise their time. My relevant marks are as follows: English Advanced - 92/100 English Extension 1 - 47/50 (Rank 2 internally) I charge $70/hr for my lessons and tutor online via Zoom. This fee includes editing and marking outside of lesson times as well.
