🌟98+ ATAR 🌟 5+ years of experience 🌟 Hi! I am a 2020 graduate from Hornsby Girls' High School with an ATAR of 98.70, and have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours Class I) at the University of Sydney as a Dalyell Scholar. After over 5 years of tutoring experience (in companies and privately) with children of all ages, I understand the struggles many students can face when learning maths. With my background in psychology, I am interested in helping students not only be able to do the questions, but to understand these concepts on a deeper level so they can successfully apply them to new questions. I aim to build their confidence in maths and hope that they can feel comfortable to ask me any question. The main priority for lessons is assisting students with difficult topics or questions they've encountered in class. Aside from this, tutoring sessions will be structured based on the topics the student is currently working on at school, or the topics they are required to know for the next upcoming assessment. As maths skills are best improved through practise, I give students homework where I think it is necessary. I use my personal library of textbooks and worksheets as material for lessons and homework, and try to avoid using questions they may have already seen. For regular students, I am also happy to provide working out for any questions they have during the week, via text or email. I hope that by tutoring with me, students can take an active role in their learning to achieve their goals. Tutoring can be online via Zoom or Skype, or in person at a local library (currently available for Hornsby and Gordon library). My rate is $60/hr for K-10 and $70/hr for Years 11-12.
