——— FIRST IN STATE (ENGLISH EAL/D) ——— Hiya! I’m Thu. I graduated as school captain in 2020 with 4 scholarship offers and I'm now in my first year studying Arts/Law majoring in Art History at USYD. As your tutor, I will be able to tailor lessons to best suit your needs, whether it be assistance with current classwork, catching up or learning content ahead, and it is my goal to support you, motivate you and help you achieve your goals, both within and outside of school. Since 2020, I've had 200+ hours of tutoring in English / History / VA, with most of my students achieving the highest range of marks for their assessments. Having gathered a wide variety of notes and practice questions/exams to consolidate your understanding of subjects, navigate through syllabus changes as well as exam preparation, I am available to assist students from years 7-12 in HSC English EAL/D, Modern History, Visual Arts and Studies of Religion I. I've come to understand that a holistic approach to learning will help you see the HSC more in terms of skills relevant to post-school life, and being able to look at the bigger picture can really help you have a balanced schedule throughout senior years. Additionally, having moved to Australia in Year 9, I still have native proficiency in Vietnamese, and I'm happy to offer tutoring for anyone who needs it. :-) HSC Exam Marks (ATAR of 96.95) - English EAL/D: 99/100 (1st in State) - Modern History: 97/100 - Visual Arts: 97/100 - Studies of Religion I: 47/50 My rate is $100/h for 1-on-1 tutoring and additional marking, or $80/h/person for group lessons. Thu is a fantastic tutor who tailors to her student's needs. I did extensive 1-1 tutoring with Thu for EAL/D in the term leading up to the Trial HSC, and improved to Rank First at Cheltenham Girls. I highly recommend Thu to anyone looking to excel at high school.
