About

⭐99.65 ATAR ⭐All rounder achiever ⭐ UNSW med⭐ Hey! My name is Linda. I am a 2020 graduate from PLC Sydney and I am completing a medicine degree at UNSW starting 2021. I have over 4 years of tutoring experience in small groups and classes for students ranging from primary to high school. Results: ✅ Increase from a 50% mark in English to an A range mark (over 85%) ✅ Increasing rank to top 5 in English for trials ✅ Increase from below 50% to Band 6 results in Maths As part of the first cohort to complete the new HSC syllabus in English, I'm familiar with the new challenges it brings so I can offer you comprehensive advice, strategies and a range of resources to boost your confidence and ensure you achieve your personal best. I've also had over 1000 hours experience of tutoring over the past year. I am offering tutoring (in person and online via Skype, Zoom, Facetime, Google Hangout) for: Year 7-10 English, Maths, Chinese, Visual arts, Science ($60/ h) Year 11-12 Advance English, Advanced Maths, Extension 1 Maths, Chinese, Visual Arts ($70/h) Additionally, I can mark and provide detailed feedback for your essays/tasks (please message me for task-specific rates) My HSC Marks are: Accelerated Mathematics Advanced: 100/100 (1st internally) Accelerated Mathematics Extension 1: 49/50 (6th internally) Visual arts: 98/100 (2nd internally) Chinese in Context: 96/100 (2nd internally) Chemistry: 93/100 (95 externally) Advanced English: 92/100 (93 externally) Physics: 91/100 (2nd internally) Having completed 13 units, I understand how the HSC may feel daunting, especially during the COVID19 pandemic, but rest assured I have many resources and insights that will leave you feeling adequately prepared for all your exams and assignments. This includes: past papers, topic specific quizzes, summaries and notes, essay plans and exemplar essays. You can also reach out to me regarding any issues that you encounter in your studies outside of classes via text or email. I have also completed the UCAT, achieving a score of 3030 (95th percentile). As a bit of a procrastinator, I left this until the last few 2 weeks to study. I know many people who start months if not half a year earlier, so if anyone needs advice on how to cram UCAT, I can help. Currently, I have finished my medicine interviews for UQ, Newcastle and UNSW so I can also offer advice on this area. Different subjects require different learning approaches, and I will adapt the content to each individual's needs - whether you're a visual learner or an auditory learner. English: This was my worst subject at the beginning of year 12, due to just being naturally bad. However, I was able to improve my internal ranking up to 5th by the time trials and realised that even if you were bad at something, as long as you worked on it in the right ways, you could improve and get a band 6. I will gladly help those of you who are not naturally good at English drastically improve your marks by teaching what is not taught at school. Mathematics: I will help you not only understand the theory behind difficult maths concepts, but provide you tips and tricks on how to ace exams with faster speed and greater accuracy. Although I completed the old syllabus with maths, don't worry as I have already grasped the differences between the old and new and am confident in helping you elevate your ability and marks. Visual Arts: I am able to help you with both the theory and practical component of this subject. I can provide notes about particular artists, sample essays, articles on art terms, and timelines. For the practical aspect, I completed a major work consisting of 7 large scale paintings, so if you would like I can direct you in both conceptual and material practice. Chinese: I am fluent in Chinese and can adjust my way of teaching depending on your language level in all four aspects of reading, writing, listening and speaking. There are very limited resources on this topic, all of which I am able to provide for you. You are more than welcome to contact me here or message me on FB for any enquiries or further questions!
