About

Hello everyone, my name is Luke and I completed my HSC in 2020, graduating with an ATAR of 97.35. My results include achieving Band 6 results in Maths Advanced (96), English Advanced (95), Chemistry (91) and Chinese in Context (91), an E4 in Maths Extension 1 (47/50), and Band 5 in Biology (88). I am an alumni of The King's School in North Parramatta where I attended year 7 -12 on a full academic scholarship and was awarded full academic colours from (2018-2020). During my time there, my notable achievements include winning the National Australian Chinese Language Bridge Oral Recital Competition, being nominated as Vice Captain of Tennis (2020) and publishing two peer reviewed medical journal articles as part of the 'The Future Project' program in collaboration with Quantal Bioscience. Since then, I have been pursuing a double degree, bachelors of commerce and laws, majoring in finance at UNSW. Following high school, I have spent my time helping students in primary school all the way through to Year 12 and university students achieve excellent academic results for 6 years (at notable tutoring centres including CS Education, Ninety Plus Education, James An College, Alchemy and more). I have extensive experience in tutoring students for selective school, scholarship entrance exams and on HSC subjects (specifically English Advanced, Chemistry, Legal Studies and Biology). In addition to tutoring these subjects, I also am more than happy to provide consulting services to students looking to break into selective schools, obtain scholarships at private schools or enter into law degrees at G08 universities. Outside of University, I currently work on the floor of one of Sydney's leading commercial law chambers, assisting numerous junior and senior counsel barristers research complex legal matters and draft documents such as affidavits, submissions, memorandums of advice etc that are directly used in NSW Supreme Court hearings and trials. Internationally, I have also obtained work experience in Singapore, acting as an international clerk assisting on matters relevant to international commercial arbitration. I have also been fortunate to be selected to represent UNSW to complete a short exchange program in the law faculty of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Additionally, I possess strong experience in public speaking, competing in prestigious ISDA and Archdale competitions in High School. At university, I have participated in many oral advocacy based competitions including Mooting/Mock trial, Negotiations, Mediations, Witness Examination and Debating competitions. During 2025, I also was the head coach for 1st Debating Team at Ascham Girls School in Edgecliffe who impressively reached the Octo quarter finals round in the ISDA competition. I have since adjudicated over a 100+ debates in ISDA, HICES and IPSHA competitions and have a passion for helping future advocates develop their public speaking skills. In terms of extra-curricular activities, I have been a casual tennis coach with over 14 years with competition experience at both a state and national level, playing against elite opposition schools such as Eton college. Additionally, I am also fluent in speaking, reading and writing Mandarin, achieving 235/300 on the HSK Level 6 Exam and so can provide assistance on students interested in pursuing this avenue of learning. If any of these services interest you, please don't hesitate to reach out. I would love to hear from you and discuss how I can help.

Reviews

Luke is an exceptional tutor that taught me chemistry and biology during my HSC. His unique method of teaching and depth of understanding in both subjects allowed him to explain complex content in ways that allowed me to understand them easily. His patient and interactive approach in class created an environment where learning content and practicing questions felt enjoyable and not just another teacher rambling nonstop. I would highly recommend Luke for those wanting to excel in their learning.

Luke has been an amazing tutor whose wealth of knowledge and expertise within my subject areas of Law and English have been essential to my success. His assistance has helped improve my grades from high 70s to right at the very top of band 6.

I've had the pleasure to have Luke as my High school legal and biology tutor for roughly 3 years from years 9-12. During my lessons with Luke, it was without a doubt that he was always attentive about course content and explained any questions I raised clearly. He definitely makes students feel accomodated, whilst still being disciplinary enough to keep me on track with my studies.
