Hi! I’m Mia and I graduated from Loreto Toorak with a 98.50 ATAR with a raw 47 in English and achieved raw 40+ scores across five subjects. - English (47) - Chinese, Language, Culture and Society (45 -> 46) - Physical Education (42) - Chemistry (40 -> 44) - Biology (40 -> 41) - Mathematical Methods (38 -> 43) I have completed a Bachelor of Science and Melbourne University, graduating with First Class Honours and am studying the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Sydney (2025-2028). Having been a private tutor for more than 3 years, teaching as a mentor at Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak in 2022 and conducting private classes online with more than 800+ hours of experience, I know the in's and out's of catering to different students' needs, connecting with students and teaching with the right goals in mind. I have taught students from primary school to high school, gaining experience and knowledge in how different students learn at different ages and with different styles. Nonetheless, I have found that all of my students thrive from simple strategies - active recall, spaced repetition and interleaving - three concepts which I actively incorporate into my lessons, oftentimes without them realising it. This is also what makes tutoring enjoyable for them! I was blessed to have Mia as my English tutor for my final year of schooling. Mia is an AWESOME tutor and I say this genuinely from the bottom of my heart. Not only has Mia guided me through VCE English, she provides the best mental support and encouragement ever! Unlike many other tutors, Mia’s feedback is detailed, specific and honest. Her approach in helping you includes providing the necessary resources, brainstorming unique ideas and interpretations, quick feedback, even specific suggestions catered to impress your picky English teachers at school. She is familiar in the newly introduced creative writing section in the study design, and consequently what teachers may be looking for there.
