Hi! I’m an experienced tutor who has a passion for knowledge and a drive to create motivated and enthusiastic learners. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Science (Degree with Honours) at The University of Melbourne (Physiology Major) having completed year 12 in 2020. I specialise predominantly in Preliminary/HSC Biology, English (STD, ADV and EXT), and Mathematics Standard. I am also equipped to tutor Studies of Religion (1 and 2), Geography, and Years 7-10 English, Mathematics, and Science.
I am a friendly, patient, and clear communicator who can empathise with the stresses of high school. I have a great range of experience, currently employed as a Tutor with a Private Company. In this role, I am working with a diverse range of high school students from selective/non-selective, private, and public schools.
I believe that tutoring is more than achieving a mark. Thus, I aim to foster a safe and comfortable learning environment that challenges my students to think critically and creatively. In this way, I strive to foster personal growth that can be applied to all facets of my student’s life, socially and academically.
I have achieved many successes in High School, ranked consistently first and second in all my subjects whilst balancing a diverse range of Community Engagement and Co-Curricular Activities. Olivia has greatly contributed to my drastic improvement in Biology and English Advanced over the past year. She is always prepared and extremely knowledgeable of the new syllabus which she skillfully articulates in her clear teaching style. Whenever I struggle with a concept Olivia offers her patience and support to help me understand the content. Furthermore, I found Olivia could really empathise with my high school experience and provided me with amazing study and organisational tips which has helped alleviate the stressors associated with my high school experience. Additionally, Olivia truly does go above and beyond, even taking extra time that extends over the allotted time for our lesson to answer questions and finalise content. I also partake in many co-curricular activities that vary weekly and Olivia has been super flexible with my schedule, always making time for our online zooms. She is just a kind and amazing person who is fun to work with and is clearly passionate about motivating her students. I highly recommend her!!!!! (:

Olivia has been and continues to be an outstanding tutor who has helped me tremendously improve in Biology, Advanced English and Standard Maths. Olivia provides multiple resources during the lesson and additional resources if I wanted which really helps me have a further understanding of the topics. She always responds quickly whenever I want her to look over anything and her feedback is always very detailed and clear. Her explanations during our lessons are always very clear and she answers all the questions I ask her even if I think they are silly. She significantly helped me in maths from when I would get around a 60% in year 10 but now all my results are 90% and above. I think she is an amazing tutor and will continue to use her for my HSC.

Olivia is a very caring, open-minded tutor who was a real mentor for me during my HSC year. She really went above and beyond to mark my practice responses and provided me with a plethora of resources to help my essay writing skills. Her feedback was extremely detailed and you could tell she really cared about making sure I felt confident and got the best possible marks. With her help, I have improved from an average of 63% in 2020 to an average of 95% and ranked 3/211 in my cohort. I found myself looking forward to our lessons and have found a new love for english which I hope to pursue in university. I would highly recommend Olivia as a tutor, especially for English Advanced.

Olivia is an amazing tutor who helped me improve from a low Band 3 to a Band 5 in only five months. She takes time to explain everything in a way that I will understand, sharing her extensive knowledge of the syllabus, essay writing skills and everything in between. Without her help I wouldn’t have been able to drastically improve my mark in such a short amount of time. I highly recommend her for anyone doing English Advanced!

Olivia was an excellent, kind and passionate tutor who was very patient with me in Biology, English Advanced and Earth & Environmental science, as someone who doesn't grasp content-heavy concepts quickly. Her considerate teaching style and ability to respond to what I thought were 'silly' questions made working with her very comforting and non-judgmental. I found that I looked forward to our lessons because of her ability to build up my confidence in these topics - and this significantly paid off in my assessments where I went from a 60% to 92% in Bio and overall lifted my ranks across all my subjects! She was also very flexible when it came towards assessment blocks or when I had other personal commitments to find time to add or move around sessions. Her explanations are simple but very effective and I took so much value from our short time together. Couldn't recommend Olivia more highly!

I never really cared about doing well in school so my parents decided I should try tutoring and they found Olivia who has been the most helpful throughout my studies so far. In our lessons, we cover Bio, English and Math. These subjects used to be my worst and now they are my best. Olivia has really helped me keep up with the demands of year 11 by proofreading assessment tasks and providing me with more resources than my teacher has given me. I find the evaluate tests she gives for biology really helpful and I will definitely be continuing with Olivia for my hsc. She is a great tutor.

Olivia has been an amzing tutor for the past year. I badly needed help in biology and maths (standard) after performing poorly in my preliminary exams. After my first lesson with Olivia I already felt 100 times more confident. She really pushed me to do my best, providing weekly revision content and her own amazing booklets that provided me with knowledge that extended beyond the syllabus (i found this especially helpful for bio). I will admit that I was always reluctant to get tutoring, but now I wish I began sooner as I've just graduated 3rd in bio and 1st in math standard 2. I really didn't think I would be the type of student that could get these results so its great to see what personalised support and encouragment can achieve.

Olivia was an immensely kind and patient tutor who helped me sooo much in bio and eng adv. Not only did Olivia help improve my marks from mid 60s to the top 10, but she was also a great mentor and role model who really understood the stress I was feeling and kept me motivated during such a challenging year. I cannot stress enough how great she was, always helping me 24/7 with any questions or concerns I had during trials and my hsc. I honestly can't thank liv enough!!!!! :)

I can’t thank Liv enough for all the help she provided during my hsc! In year 11 I was barely passing bio and now I’ve just finished my hsc ranked first.
