Hi, I'm Grace and I am a current university student studying a Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine. I graduated from Meriden School in 2020, and I am offering tutoring services for Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2 English. I have always loved English, but I understand how this can be a daunting subject for many due to its perceived unpredictability. However, with the right preparation and understanding of the content + what NESA and schools really want from a student, English easily becomes a subject to look forward to. In my five years of tutoring experience, I have seen my students improve vastly in both skill and results, many of them noting enjoyment towards a subject they previously struggled with. I have had students improve from sitting in the B or C range to achieving a Band 6 in the HSC, as well as students who consistently perform at the top of their year level. This can be attributed to my lesson structure which has strong focuses on conceptual re-thinking, feedback and HOW to implement it, and importantly, an encouraged literary appreciation. My students develop unique approaches to their modules, and are prompted to reconsider and deepen their literary insights. I am super approachable and flexible in terms of my teaching, and I find a learning style that works best for each student.
