Content will be taught utilising a comprehensive collection of resources which I have obtained throughout my highschool studies which include personally written exemplar essays, creative writing pieces, textiles portfolios and short/extended responses for all subjects. There will be homework tasks set between each lesson and weekly goals set in preparation for upcoming assessment tasks and tests. Feedback, marking and questions outside of lesson times are unlimited and free of charge. Rate for year 12: $80/hr Rate for year 11 and under: $75/hr Variable rates dependant on group or individual tutoring. I also offer feedback sessions/marking for essays (english and visual arts), creative writing, textile portfolios and short/extended responses (textiles and visual arts theory). Experience: As an individual who is passionate about teaching, I have over 5 years of teaching experience ranging from year 12 HSC students to primary school students in all the subjects listed. I also have extensive experience in leading group classes and homework help classes at CS education for selective and OC tutoring. This position enabled me to gain valuable experience in teaching younger kids.

Joanna is a fair and encouraging tutor who always pushes me to produce my best work and learn from my mistakes. For the last 2 years, Joanna has been tutoring me in English and Maths where she provides in-depth explanations on topics that I find challenging as well as consistent personalised feedback that I couldn’t get anywhere else. Joanna is an excellent and very helpful tutor. From the 2 years I've had her she has helped tremendously with English and Maths advanced. She has helped me an extraordinary amount for English, always willing to discuss ideas and topic with me. She spends so much time reading my essays and ensuring that they are the best they can be. In terms of Maths she is always willing to answer questions I struggled with when doing practice responses and willing to go back to content that I struggle to understand. Overall, I have really enjoyed my time with her and she has greatly boosted my confidence in English and Maths.

Joanna has been integral to my HSC preparation. She has identified and assisted me with gaps in my knowledge, clearly explaining what I couldn't understand on my own and engaging with me consistently to improve my capabilities. It's been delightful having her teach me and she's helped me out so much throughout the year. Joanna is a very friendly and supportive tutor that helped me significantly refine my essays during Year 12 with a individualised learning style that caters with precision. I was very impressed by her quick responses, editing outside of class time and her ability to explain concepts in different ways to help me understand intricate details in a clear, simple and straightforward manner. She was always readily available with practice papers and set achievable homework each week that helped me goal-set so I was confidently ready right up until the final exam. She also gave specific constructive feedback which allowed me to understand my weak areas and how to improve them. It can be confusing navigating your way through Year 12 and Joanna immensely supported me during this time, as she was exceptionally organised in the way she managed herself and the schoolwork. Joanna is a friendly and lovely tutor who pushes and motivates me to try harder. Joanna is an amazing tutor who has helped me in every way possible for Textiles and Design. Her clear and insightful explanations on complex concepts greatly aided me in achieving rank 1 in the trial . She also guided me in every step for the major project, teaching me how to structure my portfolio, providing inspiration and filtering ideas to create the best major project I could make as well as highlighting the areas to improve which will have been missed without her help. With me being an ESL student, her patient and supportive personality has allowed me to develop and foster my skills in a safe space that couldn't be found at school. I can't recommend any tutor as much as Joanna.

Year 12 student - Tutored for Advanced Mathematics (2U) Joanna has been an exceptional tutor and has adjusted very well to tutoring both online and in-person. Tutored for Mathematics Advanced (2U) for the HSC, with Joanna’s help, I was able to achieve 97%+ across all my mathematics assessment tasks and achieved the top rank in my year group. Joanna is outstanding at explaining complicated concepts in a simple manner, which has enabled me to sift through past exams with ease and confidence.
