As nerdy as it sounds, I am so passionate about tutoring mathematics and it is now 6 years in a row that I’ve been tutoring maths and I’ve done all the way from year 5 to year 12. I know learning maths isn’t always fun (trust me I’ve been there), so I use all sort of creative ways to make sure my students really have that ‘ahhh’ moment before we move on. My favourite thing to say is: “well what’s 2 bananas + 2 apples ..?” (Yes I’m talking about algebraic like and unlike terms here).

Experienced online mathematics tutor for stage 3 (years 5 and 6), stage 4 (years 7 and 8), stages 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3 (years 9 and 10), mathematics standard 1 and 2 and mathematics advanced.
I have been tutoring mathematics both privately and on Cluey Learning for 6+ years. I am experienced in face-to-face and online tutoring. I use an online platform such as zoom where I screenshare and use an iPad to go through the work. This way my students have access to a full digital whiteboard from the comfort of their homes.
Mathematics has always been my passion and I have always enjoyed learning it and teaching it. But I understand mathematics is not everybody’s strength so I try my hardest to ensure my students understand the concept so they can enjoy learning maths instead of doing it because schools force them to.
I am a graduate of a Bachelor of Commerce major in Accounting from Macquarie University and I currently work in risk management at a financial institution as well as tutoring. Learning has always been my passion, but teaching is what I enjoy more. I believe teaching will not only help develop someone else’s mindset, but it will help ME improve on myself too.
