Hello, My name is Lynn. I am an experienced Private Tutor with a passion for teaching students in English mainly for years 5-12 and English as a second / foreign language. A bit of Background: I have been tutoring Primary and Secondary, ESL and Business clients on and off for the past 20 years. During 2020, I have been supporting my regular clients by tutoring students, in English, online. It’s been a learning curve for us all but an enjoyable one. I have since moved location and recently worked for almost 2 years for an independent school tutoring First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students). I have contract work for different departments but also tutor online. My Schedule: Currently, my schedule each term has existing bookings but still has some vacancies Monday to Fridays 8:30am to 12:00 pm. I do have some spaces available for afternoons. Please message or email me with a few optional dates and times you prefer. However, when it is full, I have a waiting list for students to 'jump in' to timeslot when someone is sick or away. I ask all new clients to let me know a couple of days and times you’re available and to please be flexible, since I have regular, advanced paying clients who are already booked in who take first priority. How to book: Bookings are essential and subject to availability. Upfront booking fees as essential. *Just ask for an Invoice, if you prefer one. It will be sent via email as an attachment. * Payments are made by Bank transfer (preferred method) and are receipted by email. * PayID, cheques or PayPal are not acceptable forms of payment. * Please ask in advance if Cash is accepted. Cash upon arrival is no longer suitable. Receipts are provided for cash in advance payments. 2. Square up (+fee) (Tap & Go) - Receipts are emailed strictly must be paid in advance, not on the day. Terms & Conditions are outlined in detail * Payments from clients means you agree to these Terms & Conditions. * Bookings are confirmed once payments clear in bank account. * Full supervision must be supplied by the parent, guardian or carer during the lessons. Bedrooms are not appropriate locations for tutoring lessons. It is best for students to be located in a living room or office with open door and full visibility of the student and screen at all times. See eSafety Commission website for resources and tips. Parents and guardians are fult repaonsible to supervise their child in person for home visits, and to maintain a safe environment for the tutor and student to learn and study. [Due to the COVID-19 pandemic health directives from the Government, I have been conducting all lessons online using Zoom. It was a necessary choice as some of family members, whom we see daily, are medically ‘highly vulnerable.’ We thank my tutoring clients for their understanding and ability to adapt.
