My name is Alec and I am a former Electrical Engineer who has recently returned home to Perth, with the ambition of transitioning into a new career as a Secondary School Teacher. With a strong love for all things maths, science and economics, it would be delight to share with you my passion learning and help you achieve your academic goals. ABOUT ME Graduating from Mercy College High School with an ATAR of 92.95, I have since gone on to obtain my Masters Degree in Professional Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) with a minor in Economics from the University of Western Australia (UWA). I then spent the last seven years working as a Professional Engineer for various companies across Australia undertaking various large scale industrial engineering projects. With plans to enrol in University in 2025, I am now offering my services tutoring in the following subjects: TUTORING SUBJECTS MATHS - Years 7-10 and years 11-12 WACE Essential, General, Method ECONOMICS - Years 7-10 and years 11-12 WACE CHEMISTRY - Years 7-10 and years 11-12 WACE PHYSICS - Years 7-10 May also assist with Exam preparation and Primary School teaching. LOCATION AND AVAILABILITY Based locally in Mandurah I am open to travelling to surrounding suburbs in the Peel Region and extending up to the City of Rockingham. I am flexible in my availability Monday to Sunday and offer both in-person and online tutoring (Zoom, Skype etc.). Please also note that the above availability and location listed are only a guide. I am happy to discuss tutoring outside of these hours and to travel to a meeting location (Library or home visits) that best suits you. I can accommodate with using any of your preferred online communication platform as well as assist in setting up your computer/work station for any future online sessions. I can also provide assistance over the phone, via video or messaging if required. RATE For ease of mind, I am pleased to offer $10 off my initial lesson in order to get to know you and ensure you feel comfortable going forward. I am also open to discussing payment plans or packages to assist financially if required . All future lesson are priced at $35/hr including online and in-person however please note that an additional $5 travel cost for locations requiring travel longer than 30 minutes in total (excluding the first free lesson). In order to get to know each other better, I am happy to hold a free initial conversation over skype or zoom to answer any questions and to discuss what it is you are hoping to get out of tutoring.
