About

Hi, my name is Jack and I am a current UniMelb student. I really enjoy my maths and science subjects and want to help others in those areas. I want to try to help others succeed by sharing my experience and what I've learnt.

I already enjoy helping my peers and younger students with their subjects, and tutoring would be a great opportunity to continue to build on those skills. I have participated in many mentoring programs, such as the BSHS peer support program and the City Cluster program, and as such have experience working with students from primary school to high school.

My strengths lie in STEM and English subjects, but I also have experience with Humanities subjects below grade 9. I graduated high school with an ATAR of 99.35, with my class averages above 90%. My strongest subject in high school was English Literature, followed by Chemistry and my Mathematic subjects.

I have been an A average student for my high school career, and I am currently a first year at UniMelb, studying a Bachelor of Science and intending on majoring into Chemistry.

When I tutor, I don't just teach the topics, but I also will teach learning techniques and habits, as I find that students with good habits often succeed far more often than those without.
