About

I am an experienced High School Science/Maths Teacher and HSC marker with extensive knowledge of the senior courses. I currently teach Stage 6 Biology and Standard 2 Mathematics and have almost 10 years high-school teaching experience. I strive to help my students achieve best results and reach their potential. I have in-depth knowledge of the syllabus and subject content and a variety of resources to assist students in understanding, answering questions and revising content.I focus on not only ensuring students understand the subject content, but I ensure they build on their exam technique, literacy skills and problem-solving skills to ensure students reach their potential. My teaching style is similar to the style of learning students gain in the classroom to help them succeed. My rates vary by subject and year group.

Marie was by far one of the best tutors that I have ever had! She taught me quick and easy ways to remember and understand the complex content in Biology and allowed me to excel in my HSC. Marie knows everything there is to know about HSC Biology and knows how to answer every single question despite the fact that my high school teachers were not able to answer some questions. She also tutored me in Maths and was extremely patient with me even though I didn't understand many concepts. Even though I found it difficult to understand some Maths content, Marie would always find a new perspective and explain the concept in a way that I would understand! I think these qualities of patience, competence and diligence that Marie possesses helped me and many of my peers to succeed in the HSC!
