99.20 ATAR | Math | FREE trial lesson | 6 years of tutoring experience | Group tuition: $40/hr | Tutored 55 students My priority as a tutor is solely to get my students the results they want. The way I'm able to achieve these results is by understanding that tutoring isn't just about transferring knowledge - that's not a sustainable way to be successful. So what is it then? It's all about instilling a genuine interest and lasting curiosity about the subject matter, that will encourage students to continuously ask questions and relentlessly search for the answers. The best students are the ones that have learned to question the things they are told more than anyone else - they are those who have learned the skill of self-sufficiency. I strive to instill such skills in my students so that they can continue achieving to their highest potential long after I have finished tutoring them. In addition to teaching the relevant theory, I'm able to support the development of these skills by: - demonstrating the thought process and approach for solving various problems and elaborating on potential follow up questions - showing my students how best to structure and organise their study during the semester with extra focus on exam revision, which is supported by an abundance of past exam papers and resources that I have accumulated. - constantly linking theory being taught in class to real-world applications, as students tend to become more interested in a subject once they know why they are ultimately learning it I truly value the progress of my students so I'm always happy to get on a call anytime to explain a question or concept or to even send a worked solution to a question if needed, (free of charge of course). I prefer online tutoring via Zoom to in-person tutoring because it's more convenient for both myself and my students but I'm flexible to do face-to-face if that's what you prefer. I also offer my first lesson as a free trial lesson so you can be sure at no cost that I'm the right tutor for your child. Despite having graduated from university, I love teaching which is why I continue to tutor to this day. Punjaya was my maths tutor in years 9, 10 and 11 and was extremely help! Before I started tutoring with him, I struggled quite a bit with maths and absolutely hated it, however thanks to him, not only did I start to enjoy maths more, but i also saw a huge, and rapid, improvement in my marks. Punjaya is brilliant at explaining concepts in an easy to understand manner and caters well to individual needs and learning pace. I highly recommend him to any high school student struggling with math.

I contacted Punjaya, to tutor my 13yr old granddaughter who was struggling with her yr 7 mathematics, only a few weeks in and was contacted by her mathematics teacher, informing me of her improvement and confidence in the subject, I found Punjaya to be an excellent tutor, his methods of teaching and communication with my grandaughter has made a world of difference already, can’t thank him enough for helping her.. great teacher and I would highly recommend him..

I have been doing tuition with Punjaya for months now and the improvements show. The way he teaches is very effective, he helps you memorize things in a way that best suits you and your intuition. His deep level of understanding allows you to be more knowledgeable on what you are learning and this allows you to build your confidence for not only tests but classes in general. Punjaya is also super friendly and a great person to be around whilst also learning effectively. I have really enjoyed and benefitted from my classes with him and I would highly recommend!

Punjaya is an incredibly supportive tutor who tailors his teaching style to suit the individual requirements of the student. His friendly and encouraging attitude is very much appreciated as it makes learning the content more enjoyable and allows for a safe space to ask questions, make mistakes and learn from them! I especially enjoy learning conceptual maths topics from him as he is excellent at simplifying them and making them easier to understand and apply.

Punjaya is a super friendly and helpful tutor which helped me a lot through year 11 and 12. His personality is easy going and it doesn't feel difficult to ask him questions or anything like that. He goes over the content thoroughly if you don't understand the question or topic and he also makes practice tests to prepare you for exams
