6 years tutoring experience, PhD student in Physics Hi! My name is Sherryn and I am currently completing a PhD in Physics at the University of Wollongong and ANSTO. I graduated from UTS with a Bachelor of Biomedical Physics (Honours) with a University Medal. As a student, I am passionate about science. This enhances my ability to tutor and motivate students in the subject area. My tutoring approach is to help students build self-confidence as well as understand content. I believe that they are much more likely to succeed when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working through problems without feeling discouraged! I’m patient, caring and happy to work at the student’s pace. I am particularly suited to tutoring students who are genuinely struggling with a subject. I’m less focused on getting students ahead of the class, and more on helping them build a strong understanding of what they’re currently learning. I tutor: - Years 7–10: Maths and Science - Years 11–12: Mathematics Advanced and Physics I mainly tutor online via Zoom, using screen sharing and my iPad so I can work through questions with students in real time.
