Hi I'm Derrick and I graduated from James Ruse (the #1 selective high school in NSW). I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Queensland (Top #5 Australian medical school), where I've received multiple Academic Excellence awards and achieved a High Distinction average in my Bachelor of Biomedical Science.
For my HSC, I had received a HSC All Rounders Award, and achieved a Band 6 mark in Mathematics Extension 2 (4U), Mathematics Extension 1 (3U), Chemistry, and Biology.
My teaching philosophy revolves around the student - I will strive to develop their passion for learning, as well as improve their exam technique to attain top marks. With 5 years of teaching experience, I have helped previous students excel in the HSC exams, including achieving the top ATAR of 99.95.

Derrick is a brilliant tutor and has been teaching me since the start of senior high school, he really understands every topic very well and can easily break it down for me to understand. Apart from this Derrick's tutoring has resulted in me becoming better equipped with approaching hsc mathematics and has also helped me to develop more confidence with the subject. Over the course of the year he has been extremely knowledgeable and patient, I would definitely recommend him to everyone :)

Derrick is a very good tutor who knows his subject and helped me to get from not knowing very much about chemistry to understanding and appreciation of the subject in a very quick time. He was extremely helpful to get myself prepared for HSC exam and I would highly recommend him
