A deep understanding and appreciation of course content: We will work together to ensure a strong fundamental basis of knowledge before progressing onto more advanced topics. Students that are able to appreciate and truly understand content will always perform better than rote memorisation/superficial understanding. 2. Effective study skills and habits Too many students do not study effectively and are never taught how to actually learn new content. Students that utilise evidence based techniques and approaches, such as active recall, consistently perform better in assessments and are able to quickly learn and apply new content. 3. Exam preparation and strategies Typical exam revisions schedules are rarely followed and do not make efficient use of time. My approach allows students to be aware of every subject and topic and know exactly what to focus on in the month prior to exams and during the exam itself. This approach has been informed by my personal academic success, 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience, and positive feedback and results from my students. Students may apply this approach to any other subject and are empowered to self-direct their own learning. I have helped students catch up to their peers, get ahead and gain a competitive edge. Most importantly, as students become more confident and capable with their work, they will develop a passion for learning. Lessons are conducted online or in-person/at-home.
