About

RESUMING INTAKE FOR NEW STUDENTS FOR 2023/24 YEAR - Hi! My name is Nicole and I am a recent HSC graduate of 2019 of the brand new HSC syllabus. I am now studying at the University of Sydney. I believe that having a tutor that caters to your personal needs rather than inflexible lessons is important to understanding and improving in the subject of choice. I've been assisting students for 4 years now and have had the immense privilege of seeing many students improve their marks and deepen their confidence in understanding complex topics. This includes elevating 45 students to achieve a Band 6 mark despite beginning in a lower ranked position in their chosen subjects. Given the current aftermath with Coronavirus, I recognize it has been an especially significant disturbance to education, particularly for incoming Year 12 HSC students. In addition, I am also offering marking and feedback of essays written by students. With many students learning from home, an extra bit of support can really help them to stay organised, motivated and on track to their studies. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you would like to discuss your individual situation and see how I could possibly be of assistance. I am very familiar with the new HSC syllabuses and am comfortable in tutoring and providing personalized resources for my students. I tutor English, English Extension from Year 7-12. Additionally I also tutor mathematics and sciences from Year 7-10, Legal Studies and Biology. I am available at State Library, Stanton Library, online and others upon discussion. Lessons will be highly individualized, where textual content specific to your needs and comprehension and essay writing skills will be taught. We will workshop through exemplar full mark responses which you are free to keep, and also go through your drafts with a tailored approach specific to the needs of your school and assessment. I believe it's vital to break down subject matter and simplifying so it is understandable for others to learn, and how to study efficiently to achieve the highest results possible. One-on-one tutoring offers the best opportunity for the student to gain a holistic understanding, and I hope that I can help to the best of my abilities! HSC Marks: Adv English 94/100 Eng Ext 44/50 Legal Studies 96/100 Studied Texts during HSC: Common Module; 1984 Mod A; Wit and Donne Mod B; King Henry Mod C: All I have also studied and am familiar with the following texts; - Mrs Dalloway/The Hours - Curious Incident - Sylvia Plath & Ted Hughes - TS Elliot - Looking for Richard/King Richard
