About

I'm Dongjin Youn, a former Mathematics teacher at Matrix Education, the largest tutoring institution in Australia. I hold a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Studies and Information Systems from the University of New South Wales. Currently, I work as a full-time actuary, managing insurance risk by applying principles of probability and statistics. During my tenure at Matrix Education, I led multiple classes catering to students from year 7 to 12, with a maximum class size of 15. As a dedicated teacher, I completed over 50 hours of professional training to uphold high standards and stay abreast of syllabus changes. I received positive feedback from students, leading to the development of online learning resources extending to the Victorian VCE curriculum. In my senior year of high school, I achieved the top rank in 2-unit math, 3-unit math, 4-unit math, physics, and chemistry. I aim to leverage my expertise to assist you with assignments and tests. My approach to teaching involves breaking down complex concepts into basic ideas, making the learning process both comprehensive and enjoyable. I customise lessons to focus on areas you find challenging, adjusting the pace to match your understanding. I provide supplementary materials and questions to ensure a thorough grasp of the content. Due to limited availability, I can only offer three hours on Sunday mornings or late afternoons on Thursdays for in-person sessions. If you're interested in studying Math with me, please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll respond promptly. Looking forward to connecting with you soon!
