I am an experienced HSIE teacher who successfully prepares students for excellence in the HSC. My students often achieve results that are above the state average. Professional Background I have over 7 years of full-time teaching experience. I was trained and qualified at Australian Catholic University and I am currently registered as a proficient teacher with the NSW Education Standards Authority. Teaching Philosophy I am an extremely passionate educator who loves nothing more than seeing students progress and achieve! Working one on one with students in a private tutor capacity is most rewarding. I truly get to know the student as a learner and share every success! I believe in a holistic approach to education, research shows that through emotional intelligence and a growth mindset, we can build children up to engage and motivate them. Tutoring Sessions Through my approach combined with my thorough understanding of the NSW syllabus and curriculum outcomes, I can help your child identify areas of strength and areas for improvement. Together we can set achievable academic goals and track progress. I am an extremely flexible educator and I am happy to meet the needs of your child on an ongoing basis. This can include working on homework tasks, assessments, mentoring when faced with struggles and working towards goals. It involves a National Police Check (criminal history record check) and a review of reportable workplace misconduct. I am located near Parramatta , I offer tutoring at my home or via the online platform ‘Skype’ . I can also travel to your home or local library, there may be a small additional fee depending on the distance. I provide students with the skills to study, revise and manage their time efficiently. I teach techniques to assist students in properly structuring their responses for each question, as per the curriculum guidelines. I am also an experienced HSC marker, who fully understands what is needed in the context and body of a response, in order to obtain better marks. Although I am HSIE trained, I also tutor students in any subjects years 7-10 I have tutored primary school students in the past if required.
