94 English Advanced | 46 English Extension 1 | 94.15 ATAR Hi, I'm Laura! I graduated from North Sydney Girls in 2022, and now I'm a fourth year Criminology student at the University of Melbourne. I completed the HSC with a 94.15 ATAR, with a Band 6/E4 in both English Advanced and Extension. I am currently listed on the University of Melbourne's Dean's List, and am the recipient of an academic scholarship for excellence in the humanities. I offer online or in-person English tutoring for students in Y7-10, and am located in the inner-north Melbourne area. I also offer online Y11-12 HSC tutoring for students located in NSW. My standard hourly rate is $70, or $80 for HSC students. Over the past three years, I have helped over thirty students to gain the skills and confidence necessary to excel in all levels of high school English. When working with students, I ensure they are developing strong foundational skills in comprehension, analysis, writing, and critical thinking. I firmly believe these foundational skills are more beneficial to long-term English success than rote-learning strategies. I also focus on helping students gain a detailed and comprehensive understanding of the texts they are studying, so that they are prepared to answer any question. I'm committed to supporting and uplifting my students wherever I can, and love being able to celebrate my student's progress with them.
