Greetings parents and students, My name is Michelle and I am a Bachelor of Educational Studies graduate from Curtin University, where I completed three practical placements across different high schools in both English and Science. I specialise in tutoring ATAR English, Biology, Human Biology and Psychology. Since graduating I have worked professionally in education environments, including at a senior high school where I have supported students and families daily. This experience has deepened my understanding of how students learn, what they find challenging and how to communicate complex ideas in ways that actually stick. My tutoring style is student-centred — meaning I take the time to understand how each individual learns best before deciding how to approach the content. I draw on my educational studies background to select evidence-based teaching strategies tailored to each student's needs, whether that is building conceptual understanding, developing essay technique, improving study habits or building confidence before exams. I work with students one-on-one, which I believe is where real progress happens. My focus is not just on improving grades — it is on helping students genuinely understand the material and feel capable in the subjects they are studying. I tutor in person south of the river, and I am happy to travel to wherever is most convenient for you.
