Hello, i’m Sarah I am a PhD candidate at Sydney University in immunology and infectious diseases research. I have 8 years experience tutoring HSC biology and 4 years teaching undergraduate science at USYD. I have a Bachelors of Medical Science and Honours degree in Immunology/Infectious Diseases with a final mark of 91%. I have received awards for academic excellence throughout my degrees, as well as for scientific journal publications and conferences - essentially I love to write and talk about science! I believe people learn best when they are comfortable and relaxed, so I aim to create a friendly, encouraging, and supportive environment so that students feel comfortable speaking up and asking questions. I focus on effective and research based learning techniques so students understand and can remember the large volume of content in HSC biology. I provide many resources including practice questions, past papers, and notes. I am happy to help with all aspects of biology, including teaching content, exam/study skills, writing/proofreading, and time management skills that can be applied to all units.
