About
99.95 ATAR | USYD Medicine | Year 7-12 Tutoring
Hi! My name's Danai and I'm currently studying postgraduate medicine at the University of Sydney and previously completed an undergraduate degree in finance and physiology as part of the Double Degree Medicine Program at USYD. I graduated with an ATAR of 99.95 in 2017.
I have ~6 years of experience in tutoring and am available to tutor Year 7-10 science and Year 12 biology. I also tutor for finance and accounting courses at the university level. Furthermore, I have extensive experience with medicine interview preparation - for the last 3 years all of my previous students have received offers to study medicine in NSW.
From experience I've learnt that while its important to teach you the material, it is also very important to encourage independent thinking as this sets you up for those times when they won't have a tutor. My lessons are carefully planned in a way so as to engage you and promote active learning, rather than a one-sided exchange. Together we can come up with a personalised study plan, identify areas of weakness and work on them using effective strategies.
My rates start at $65/hour for K-10 and $70 for 11-12, and $80 for medicine interview preparation. I also take small group classes of 2-4 students at discounted rates.
