About
PhD-Qualified Tutor for Literature, Arts, Humanities, and Essay Writing
I’m a recent PhD graduate in Arts with extensive teaching experience. I have been working independently as a private tutor for High School students since 2011.
I have lived in Paris for six years and completed both my Master’s and Doctorate at the Sorbonne, jointly awarded with the University of Melbourne. I also have a First Class Honours degree from the University of Sydney.
Passionate about arts and the humanities, my research area covers subjects in art history/theory, modern French thought and literature, and critical theory. I help students develop sharp arguments, writing skills, and confidence in analysis. My lessons are personalised, engaging, and designed to support academic excellence.
For high school students, I specialise in English (Standard, Advanced, Extension). We focus on assessments, reviews according to unit outline, developing strong essays through textual analysis, and exam techniques that consistently achieve Band 6 results. I have also taught English as a Second Language to French speakers while living and studying abroad in Paris. I have also tutored in French, History, SOR, Mathematics.
