Success in HSC English means one thing: Give The Marker What They Want. I will show you how to do this.

I’ll show you what to say and how to say it, so you get the results you want without stress. Read my reviews!

What will you get out of tutoring with me? You will:

Understand your texts - I mean REALLY understand them. No more confusion and uncertainty. You will know what your text is about and how to discuss it.

Write perfectly constructed and argued essays and responses - the kind your teachers and markers want to read!

Write more fluently: precise, concise, on point.

Expert knowledge of the current NESA English syllabus.

Practice papers and questions provided so you can sharpen your exam technique. You will enter the exam practised, confident, and knowing exactly what to do.

If you need to get more confident with English we will build that confidence together.

English Extension 1: we'll get our heads round those big themes and deconstruct those complex texts.

English Extension 2: as a prize-winning published author I'm well placed to help you craft a sophisticated and compelling major work.

ESL English students: I've taught many non-native English students both privately and in a classroom setting. You will benefit from my Cambridge TESOL qualifications and a patient, supportive approach to learning.

Form a group of 2 to 4 students with your friends and you can tutor with me together.

Are you motivated to get a big number in English this year? Get in touch today. We've got work to do!

As school students, we are subject to tens if not hundreds of teachers and educators throughout our lives, but there are very few that are able to connect with their students on a personal level and leave a lasting impression, whether it be a classroom of 26 or just one. I had the privilege of having Patrick as a tutor throughout my HSC experience, and in all honesty, could not have asked for a better mentor and guide. Patrick was able to tailor each weekly lesson to my needs, allowing me to fully realise my potential as an English student. Although I was always a consistent student in terms of my marks, Patrick was able to push me and my expectations higher, to the point that I finished just off the top of my entire cohort at the conclusion of my HSC year. I cannot be more thankful for everything Patrick is done and would recommend him to everyone looking for an English tutor.

Patrick has tutored our daughter for the last 6 months on a weekly basis on her year 11 English journey, she is studying Advanced English, Extension 1 and Extension 2. His tutoring has assisted her with brainstorming ideas and improved her essay structures. With her assignments, he has worked with her to enhance, express and support ideas. She has started year 12 and with the help of Patrick's tutoring, she has more confidence and has been able to bounce ideas for her major work. Patrick is professional, flexible, reliable, easy to deal with and we would highly recommend him.

We found Patrick after our son achieved a sub-60 mark in his trial HSC. After a short period of weekly sessions, we were delighted to see his final results with an HSC exam mark of 87 for English Advanced and a Band 5.
Patrick was able to demonstrate and explain concepts and strategies that helped our son dramatically improve his performance and increased his confidence.

Our only regret is that we didn't find Patrick earlier! He was friendly, professional and always punctual to the tutoring sessions.

Thank you Patrick.
