Hi! My name is Nivantha. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Honours) at Monash University, and I completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University in 2021, with a High Distinction average including Chem I + II, Biochem, and Human + Micro Biology.
I currently tutor Year Science and Maths, as well as VCE Biology and Chemistry.
I completed VCE at East Doncaster Secondary College, achieving raw score of 40+ in Biology and Further Mathematics, receiving academic excellence awards for both.
I teach in one on one and group lessons depending on students needs. I offer trial lessons at a discounted rate for the first lesson.
With over 5 years of tutoring experience with students of varying ability, I am experienced with catering my tutoring style to individual student's needs.
I believe that the key to great teaching is patience and understanding that every student learns differently, so I teach concepts in multiple ways to contextualize learning and to bolster understanding and confidence. I also provide advice on effective study techniques and how to effectively manage time during exams and SACs.
I have a valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC).

I highly recommend Nivantha for anyone studying VCE chemistry and biology, as he has genuinely been a lifesaver. His prices are very reasonable compared to other who charge almost double for the same subject, while also doing a better job than most.

Niv is one of the best tutors I’ve had, as a tutor he is very patient and knowledgeable. The way he teaches is very comprehensive and accomodating. He is very well versed in the subject of Chemistry and made understanding tough concepts much easier with his many different ways of explaining things. Niv was also very welcoming and friendly, made it much easier for me to relax and learn.

Over the past two years, I have been tutored by Nivantha on a weekly basis for both Biology and Chemistry. He has been absolutely brilliant. He has a vast knowledge of the two subjects, and is able to teach the content effectively. Nivantha’s understanding of concepts is extremely helpful come exam time, where he is able to answer questions to ensure that his student is prepared. If asked a question that he does not know, Nivantha is diligent in finding the answer and providing it to his student as quickly as possible. He is efficient, punctual, shows immense respect and is a great communicator. He has been a great help to me over the past two years, and I would recommend him to other VCE Chemistry or Biology students.
