HSC Business Studies Specialist | NSW High School Teacher | 7+ Years Tutoring Experience I’m a qualified Business Studies teacher with extensive experience teaching Years 11–12 Business Studies in a NSW public high school, as well as over 7 years of private tutoring experience. My students have achieved strong results, including high Band 6 (98) marks in the HSC. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Education from UNSW and a Master of Education (Educational Leadership) at the University of Sydney. With both business and education backgrounds, I help students understand Business Studies content while also teaching them how to apply their knowledge effectively in assessments and HSC examinations. I work with Year 11 and Year 12 students who want to improve their marks, strengthen their understanding of the syllabus, and develop more confident exam technique. Students learn how to: • Structure Band 6-level business reports and extended responses • Apply the stimulus and case study consistently and effectively • Use relevant business terminology and syllabus concepts • Develop stronger analysis rather than simply describing content • Answer directive terms such as analyse, assess, evaluate, explain and discuss • Improve responses to multiple-choice, short-answer and extended-response questions • Avoid common mistakes that prevent students from reaching the higher mark bands As a current classroom teacher, I understand the NSW Business Studies syllabus, assessment requirements and the areas students commonly find difficult. I particularly focus on helping students move beyond memorising textbook content and learn how to apply, analyse and make clear links to the business stimulus. Lessons are focused and practical. Students receive direct feedback, targeted HSC-style practice, model responses and clear strategies they can apply immediately to school assessments, trials and the HSC. Online tutoring available for Year 11–12 Business Studies. Face-to-face tutoring may also be available, with an additional $5–$15 travel fee depending on location.
