About

Get a head start on the 2024 school year with a personalised school holiday course! Maybe life had you falling behind on the scarily fast-moving content in 2023, maybe 2024 is the year you’re prepared to put everything you’ve got into that ATAR. Initial assessment: Your program will commence with an initial assessment – don’t worry, it’s not a test! We can have a chat about some of the syllabus concepts, and I can gauge where you’re at in understanding; if our focus is maths, I can watch you tackle questions of various difficulty, and get to know how you work based on that. I can then help you revisit previous concepts, and skills, or dive into teaching you new concepts for the upcoming year! The program: Based on your initial assessment, we can work out a program for the summer. Talk to me: how long would you like the program to run for? Two weeks? Four weeks? Six weeks? How often would you like to be tutored? How much time are you willing and able to put into homework outside the time you spend with me? Would you prefer the delivery mode to be face-to-face, or online, or a mix of both? All of these things will help me help you get the most out of your summer program. We can easily add or cancel sessions as we go, depending on how you’re going. About me: I graduated from Shenton College in 2018, with a 99.65 ATAR. I studied ATAR subjects methods, specialist, chemistry, Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and literature, and I also have a Certificate II in Hospitality under my belt. Having completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in Integrated Medical Sciences and Clinical Practice, I am currently studying Doctor of Medicine at UWA. I’m also an accredited Auslan/English interpreter, working alongside my studies! Over the past five years, I developed a wide range of tutoring experiences. From year seven students beginning to grasp the basics of maths, to almost-graduates charging towards their dream ATARs, to homeschooled primary schoolers wanting a Chinese teacher – every single one of them has taught me so much about what it means to be a good tutor and continue to do so. There’s little more rewarding than watching a student move towards their dreams. In addition to my focus subjects, I am able to offer some support in Biology ATAR (Units 2, 3 & 4) and Human Biology ATAR using knowledge from my university studies if a burning question came up :) I can offer 24-hour online support using platforms such as WhatsApp, Messenger and Skype. I’ll answer most of your questions right away, and any that I don’t I’ll respond to within 24 hours – that’s a money-back guarantee! ** Session price negotiable depending on program ** ** Holder of a current Working with Children Check ** ** Holder of a current National Police Certificate**
