About
I am a globally-minded teacher determined to utilise my varied experiences across financial services, sustainability, and community development to help young people grow compassionate, ethical, and collaborative skills to contribute to the world around them. I relished the opportunity to commence my professional career in finance and management as it equipped me with organisational acumen and strengthened my relationship skills. After a period of reflection, I proactively navigated my working life into the sustainability and food systems space, during which I led kitchen operations, food system projects, and non-profit organisations. These developments led me to my teaching career where I continue to strive for positive impact. Throughout each of the pivots in my career, my love for reading and writing has remained constant and my desire to educate others on matters of great importance stayed true. Pedagogically, I believe in the importance of setting high expectations, prioritising student wellbeing, and developing student agency through the utilisation of high impact teaching strategies. I am determined to make a positive, impactful contribution to my community.
