Hi! I'm Raymond and I am a passionate tutor, and run a channel named RaysMaths (search "RaysMaths YouTube"), creating content for students where you can submit your own questions for free, currently working as an qualified actuary at a life insurance company. I graduated from a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies/Bachelor of Commerce at UNSW.
Achievements
I have achieved 90+ in 3U/4U Mathematics and am only offering tutoring for Mathematics. However, I am able to help with other business subjects such as Commerce/business studies during the maths lesson.
Experience
I have experience in teaching at a private level, a company and also a tutoring centre class level, and am seeking to help more students achieve greater marks. I've had experience teaching students from year 5 to 12 and I offer one-on-one tutoring in Top Ryde and surrounding suburbs.
Lessons
Throughout lessons I can provide tips for exam techniques, how to maximise marks, time management and implementing useful study methods. With my tutoring, I will also be offering out-of-class support (of a reasonable amount) where the student is able to contact me about quick questions throughout the week.
All maths subjects currently offered except ext.2 maths. This can be requested.
The prices are as follows for online lessons:
Year 5-8 $50/hr
Year 9-12 $60/hr
Please add $10/hr for face-to-face lessons at Top Ryde, additional travel fee for areas away from Top Ryde (enquire for details).
