Hi there! Hello! My name is Sophie and I am a First Class Honours graduate from Monash University. Since completing my thesis, I have worked in social and government research, marketing research, and now work specifically with FMCG corporates on their innovation and marketing strategies. I believe that my experience in both industry and academic allows me to offer you the distinct advantage of learning concepts both in the context of both your current studies and from workplace settings. I am looking to tutor Secondary School students as well as University Undergraduate students in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Psychology, and general Essay/Lab Report writing and exam prep. I am also able to coach through job application processes, from reading through cover letters and resumes, application essays, and interview practices. I believe that patience and compassion are the most important qualities of an excellent tutor, as such, they have become the main focus of my teaching approach. Another focus of my teaching approach is fostering a love for mathematics in students. Often disliked, mathematics can be tedious and boring when taught systematically. My aim is to bring a sense of achievement and thrill to maths to have them mastering those equations in no time! Lastly, I ensure that I teach proper time management skills to my students so that my time with them is not only beneficial for an hour per week, but for the rest of their lives.
