Working with Children Certified I am currently tutoring HSC students in all levels of mathematics, and intro level computer programming. I am based in Coogee; and can work anywhere in the Eastern Suburbs/Sydney CBD. I am also available for Skype tutoring if you are not in these or nearby areas. As I am growing an online business, I am very flexible with timing. However, my Thursdays are booked out with other students. My rate is $50-$65 per hour, depending on year and math level. I am a Mechanical Engineer with 5 years of work experience. I graduated with a Masters' in Mechanical Engineering from one of the top universities in the US (Georgia Tech). As your kid's tutor, I would assist in explaining concepts they may have difficulty understanding or simply improve their ability, knowledge or motivation for whatever topic is needed. I believe that for difficult subjects it is the job of the tutor to break the problem down into bite size steps for the student to grasp. This may not always happen at school, and requires a good private tutor.
