Hi! I'm a qualified high school Science teacher with a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I currently teach Preliminary and HSC Biology, Y7-10 science, and Y9-10 Psychology and have extensive experience delivering the NSW HSC Biology syllabus. I understand what exam markers are looking for and help students develop the knowledge, skills, and exam techniques needed to succeed. My academic background includes: * Bachelor of Medical Science and Medicinal Chemistry (Honours) with a research focus in Neuropharmacology. * Master of Secondary Education and Leading Learning. * Recipient of the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence for three consecutive years. I offer tutoring in: * Years 7–10 Science * HSC Biology (Years 11–12) * Study skills, exam preparation, and assessment support My teaching style is tailored to each student. Whether you're aiming to improve your grades, prepare for upcoming exams, strengthen your understanding of difficult concepts, or work towards a Band 6 in HSC Biology, I create engaging, personalised lessons that focus on building deep understanding rather than rote memorisation. As a practising classroom teacher, I stay up to date with curriculum requirements and understand the challenges students face in today's classrooms. I am able to provide you with additional resources such as mnemonics, slide decks, and past exam papers, including marking your practice responses. I'm happy to meet at a mutual location (e.g. library) for sessions or to meet you at your house if it is within a reasonable distance (I'm based in Ryde). We can arrange for you to meet at my home as well.
