About

Causal Academic || UNSW University Medal Recipient || HD Average || Hi, my name is Will Taylor. I am an alumnus of, and current Casual Academic at, UNSW and I am offering tutoring services in high school English and History (of all levels), as well as most other essay-based subjects. I have a great passion for these particular subjects, have been teaching them for over 5 years, have received University-level awards and qualifications for each, and would love to share my know-how with you—particularly if you are preparing for the HSC! My main tutoring qualifications lie in my academic achievements at University: - I graduated from UNSW with First-Class Honours and the University Medal in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy/German Studies) and a High Distinction+ average. - I was also the recipient of both the Douglas McCallum award for Best Performance in Philosophy (2015) and the Australian-German Chamber's Goethe Prize for Best Performance in German Studies (2016). - Following my undergraduate, I was granted the Fred Katz scholarship to complete my Honours thesis in philosophy, for which I was awarded the UM. - And I have just completed my Masters by Research (2022) with a thesis in the history of ancient philosophy, namely, on Epictetus' conception of reason's perfection. My Master's thesis was described as 'one of the very best theses I have read in 30 years' by Prof. Benitez of USYD, an long-standing expert in Greek philosophy, and I'm currently completing my PhD in Ancient Philosophy. So, if you want a tutor for high school English and History who's well versed in academic research and writing skills, please do inquire, and we'll see if we can make our schedules harmonise!
